How Google search works?

Well as we know today's way to find about everything is Google,today one term is very famous "Don't know something then Google it" .Then one might get question in his/her mind that how Google works, well I can give you answer for this question for best of my knowledge.

As being a webmaster for my this site,?I was supposed to know how to make my website popular.First way is to get my traffics site from Google search engine.And second one is to get traffic from social media like Facebook and Twitter.You might be come across this site from one of above methods.

So how?

There are main two things that are working or worked when you search for something on Google.Google finds exactly what you want from,

Crawling:

Google uses software known as web crawlers to discover web pages that are publicly available.This crawling process happens frequently.So what Google do during this process?

This crawling process begins with list of web addresses from past crawled web-pages and they visit webpages and send information to Google about those web pages.They follow links in that webpages just like you when surfing on the internet.They do this process completely free which costs them lots of money so why do they do it?

Well they need to provide you best search result when you search for something on Google.So they can give you best search results with their ads in search results ,and they earn money with that ads,yes this is the part of their business.

Indexing:

During crawling process they get information about web pages and then they create indexes of those.Much like indexes you see on books.So when you search for something on Google they know what information you are looking for you, rather then searching information on internet at that time(What most of us think they do), they search in these indexes to make search fast and meaningful.

Algorithms:

This algorithms starts working right from when you start typing something in Google search engine.This algorithms are computer process and formulas that turn your question in to answer you are looking for.They also check spelling errors in the terms you entered in their search engine.

This algorithms are designed to predict what you are looking for on web.They know what and which things you are searching for and then provides information to you in the form of web addresses and some web applications.
