How to point your domain name to your blogger Blog?

          Many people direct/point their domain name to their blogger Blog.It's nothing wrong with it ,I mean I am also using blogger as host for my this website.There are lots of benefits with it naming few,

• If are new to Web Developing and you don't know or know little bit about Web Developing languages like,HTML,PHP,CSS,JAVA etc. then Blogger makes it easy for you to develop your website.
• If you don't want to spend more money on hosting Blogger is free way to Host your website.
• You just need to  write posts on blogger and bang !! it will be on Internet instantly.You don't need to link your post,no need to write any peace of code for your posts.  

          Before going to main point I should disadvantages of hosting with blogger like, you can't put your custom codes you have created for your website I mean you can but within limits of blogger.But its okay if it suits you and your website.

Pointing your domain to blogger:

Step 1:          

           Okay so let's start, first you will need a Domain name with DNS which you want to point to your blogger Blog.If you have it no problem, but if you don't have Go and register one with DNS for your website.

Step 2:

             Login with your domain name registrar account and go to domain settings DNS setting > Edit zone file.Add new record With  

                                   Host :           www

                                   Pionts to :    ghs.google.com

             Don't change TTL if you don't know anything about it.

Step 3:

            Now login with Blogger go to setting > Publishing > click on button which says "Add custom Domain". 

            Input your domain information and click SAVE button. That's it.It may take some time wait and it will be done.

Note:    Above steps are for Domain name registered with Godaddy It might change for other domain name registrar.If it is so then you will get help here, Blogger > login > Goto setting > Publishing > add custom Domain  > setting instruction.

Sign up with blogger it's free:

        Making website is as easy as eating peace of cake.You can easily make your blog(website) with google's blogger.Go and sign up first,if  you have gmail account you don't need to sign up for blogger you can login with your gmail account.

Setup your blog:

           When you are logged in you can start setting up your blog.

Step-1:

Click on New Blog

                         Choose your blog name and address like yourfirstblog.blogspot.com.

                 Remember that every blog's address is unique so you might not get web address which you are looking for but you can choose address which already  has not been taken by someone.

                   

                 Select template for your blog.This template will decide how your blog will look like.Right now you can start with Simple template ,after you learn all about blogger then you can select other templates. 

         When it says This blog Address is available then click on button which says Createblog.

Step-2:

    

  Click on blog name which you have just created.

Step-3:

Congratulations ! Your blog is set now click on New Post to create your first post.

               

Step-4:

                Give your post name and start writing your first post.It's very easy to create posts with blogger you can upload files,add images,videos,text, you can give text a link ,  Make your written text to look attractive with blogger.When you are ready with your first post then click on button which says Publish and if your post is not ready then click on save and complete your post later it will be saved as draft.

          Web  Hosting is like taking some space from web hosting provider for rent.After registering your domain you need some space to upload your website content like photos,videos,images,code etc. for that you need one hosting account which will give you some space on web.Many web hosting providers are available on web like,Godaddy,bigrock you can register your acount there for some amount of money.

Blogger:

            If this is not affordable to you than you can start your own blog completely free.No need to register domain name or don't need any web hosting plan to start it's free for everyone.Blogger is from Google.Just make your account for free and start blogging.But remember that you will not get your custom domain you will get sub domain like yourwebsite.blogspot.com  instead of www.yourwebsite.com.  Best of luck for your website and have a good day.
